Believe it or not but the history of perfumery is as ancient as the chronicles of humanity. There are plenty of narratives and artifacts found that relay about different kinds of aromas. From the culture of the Mesopotamia and up to this very time, it has evolved into a high inclination for both genders. It is for the purpose to embellish their very selves or even as a necessity for some. As a matter of fact, it has been one of their hobbies, to collect perfume bottles so they can continually take pleasure in its scent when nothing of the liquid is left.

Here are interesting perfume bottles that are unmistakably vintage. It will surely tickle each and every individual who fancies archaeological treasures. It may not be utilized nowadays but the monetary value of which is certainly high. However, none of these are for commercial but they can be seen in The Museum of Barcelona in Spain.

Leather Case
One of the perfume bottles that came from France, Leather Case is from the 28th century A.D. It is book- shaped with two glass flasks and one small funnel. Garnet in color, it is designed with the Queen’s coat of arms in gold. The spine has inscriptions in French, "ETRENNES", meaning Christmas present.

Greek Aryballos
Originating from Corinth, Greek Aryballos was believed to be used in the 6th century B.C. It is a ceramic clay that is yellowish in color with geometric design that comprises of concentric circles and lines taht combined in the neck portion.

Egyptian Palette
From the period 1557- 15021 B.C., Egyptian Palette hails from the land rich in pyramids. It is specifically a Libyan jasper where center has an emblem that depicts Pharaoh Amenofis I. It also has a design that resembles that of a his dynasty along with two snakes that was before, a symbol of royalty.

Greek Epikysis
Coming from Taranto in Magna Graecia, Greek Epikysis is from the 4th century B.C. It has a cylindrical body with a very long neck and only a single handle. The decoration on the upper portion is a body of a woman with votive tart while on the lower part, there white leaves. It has a reddish illustration on black background.

Etruscan Aryballos
Of the denominated screw- thread variation with a short neck, Etruscan Aryballos has been traced to have its roots in Etruria which is in Central Italy. It has patterns of concentric circles that has a black on white background. It belongs to the period between 6th- 7th century before Christ.

Greek Pyxis
Derived from Corinth, Greek Pyxis is among the perfume bottles from the 5th century B.C. period. It has flattened shaped which is thicker at the base and mouth. It also has a geometric design surrounded by four ducks that are in black, red and ochre hues.
