Thames Festival, London Sat 13 Sep -Sun 14 Sep 2008, Two days of free music and entertainment on the south bank of the Thames, between Westminster Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge. The event starts at 12 noon and ends at about 10pm on each day.

Paris September Events
Rock 'n Roll '39-'59. This tribute to the birth of rock 'n roll is "(...)devoted to the genesis, evolution, and history of rock n´roll in the United States between 1939 and 1959." From Little Richard and Chuck Berry to Elvis Presley or Jerry Lee Lewis, this jubilant exhibit will be of interest to anyone interested in the diverse musical and cultural roots of rock. Kara Walker: My Complement, My Enemy, My Oppressor, My Love. A major retrospective of Californian artist Kara Walker's compelling work, which explores the haunting and painful contours of African-American history in an unflinching and unexpected fashion. The singular use of light projectors and paper silhouettes makes Walker's work, widely considered to be some of the 21st century's most important, particularly unforgettable.Through September 9th.

Roy Lichtenstein: A Pop Art Master,Through September 23, 2007..
