Embarassing Questions Answered

Got a problem you can't bear to share with no one? Don't worry, you can ask yourpower2be experts!

How can I stop my ears being blocked with wax?

Ear wav made up of dead skin cells and a substance called cerumen, which is produced by glands lining your ear canal. its main function is to trap dirt and dust particles and, in so doing, protect eardrum. How much wax each individual produces varies and, interestingly, the type of wax we make seems to be inherited. Men often make more ear wax than women and we all tend to produce more wax as we get older.

People who produce a lot of wax are often tempted to use cotton buds to remove it, but this can make the problem worse. Wax naturally migrates outward and using buds may push it deeper into your ear canal. Also, attempts to remove wax in this way damage the skin lining the canal and increase the amount of dead cells, which, paradoxically, produces more wax, so throw your cotton buds away now.

Instead ask your chemist for some ear drops. You will probably need to use them twice a day for several days to ensure the wax is softened. This may be all that's needed to keep the problem under control. If not, you may need to have your ears syringed once or twice a year.

You can always see a physician to clear up the problem, but if you desire to do it yourself, here's how:

If you've got a rubber irrigator, use it with some clean warm water mixed with a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to gently flush your ear canal. To avoid a mess, do this while holding a curved bowl under your ear to catch the resulting flow of wax and liquid. Just keep doing this until you feel the ear canal clear up.

You may have to do this a couple of times depending on the wax build up. You could also try after the peroxide using warm h2o, you could use a syringe of some sort or something that will allow pressure to get the wax to flow out of your ear.

Why Are My Feet Getting Bigger

I'm convinced my feet have grown in the past year as my shoes have started to feel tight. I’m 33 so it seems impossible they're still growing. I've recently taken up running. Could this be to blame?

Normally, feet stop growing between the ages of 18 and 22. When you get beyond your early 20s, your feet shouldn't grow until you get pregnant. During pregnancy, a hormone released into your bloodstream softens ligaments that can lead to an apparent growth in your feet (since feet tend to grow with each pregnancy, you may want to hold off on those pricey Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blahniks until you're finished having babies). However, if you haven't yet been pregnant, your running can explain the problem. Running regularly in trainers flattens your foot every time you take a step.

I Only Want to use Sex Toys, My Husband don't like it.

Sex toys can be a problem if couples start to use them early in their relationship and they become part of what they do in bed. A man may start to think you prefer your vibrator to him on his own and start to feel unmanly.

Don't use sex toys every time, even if you need them to orgasm. And move away from penis- replacement-types products, experiment with blindfolds, perhaps.

Sex toys are indeed incredible and can give you breathtaking orgasms, but they're a bit of a shallow pleasure. Use your sex toys when you are alone.

What's Happen to My Orgasms?

I am 38 and for the last two months I haven't had any orgasms, so I've been faking and my partner's starting to suspect. I've never had trouble before... What's happened?

The most common cause for loss of orgasm is problems in your relationship. If you feel angry or let down by your partner then your ability to orgasm can vanish as your trust levels drop. The first thing to do is explore and resolve any underlying problems. If this is not the main issue, look at your hormone levels or current medications. The Pill, HRT and antidepressants can affect your libido and sexual satisfaction, talk to your doctor if this is likely.

I Am battling With Dandruff, What to do?

*Try rubbing pure coconut oil into your scalp every night, put a towel over your pillow to prevent staining and wash out in the morning.

*The use of fenugreek seeds is one of the most important remedies in the treatment of dandruff. Two tablespoons of these seeds should be soaked overnight in water and ground into a fine paste in the morning. This paste should be applied all over the scalp and left for half an hour. The hair should then be washed thoroughly with soap-nut (ritha) solution or acacia concinna.

*Add six spoonfuls water, two spoonfuls pure vinegar and apply it on the scalp with cotton wool before going to bed. Tie a towel around your head to protect the pillow. Wash your hair next morning. After shampooing, rinse again with vinegar water. Continue this once a week for at least three months.

He Breaks Wind When We Have Sex

My husband has started having bad wind, especially when we're making love. We both aware of it, but aren't addressing it. I don't know what to do.

For most blokes, it's a sure sign that she loves you when she's happy to fart in bed, so you could think of it as a display of affection! But neither of you wants this to become a habit.

You can't ignore excessive wind for several reasons, most importantly because it's sometimes the sign of a more serious condition, like coeliac disease IBS or lactose intolerance. Get him to see his doctor. In a US survey, one in five people said that flatulence had halted intimacy.

I have Really Dreadful Breath in the Morning.
Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?

Bad breath is a common problem, affecting one in four of us on a regular basis. it is often much worse in the morning, because at night your saliva slow down. Saliva is your mouth's natural cleaner, so if too little is produced your mouth stagnates, allowing the bacteria that cause bad breath to form.

The only way to beat this problem is with good oral health. Make sure you brushed your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes with suoride toothpaste, first thing in the morning and again last thing at night. You should also clean your tongue, as this is where 80% of unpleasant-smelling bacteria form. Although you can use your toothbrush to do this, you may find it easier to use a tongue scraper, Flossing before bed will also ensure any food that is stuck between teeth is removed. other than that if you indulges in smoking or excessive alcohol consumption, reconsider your habits, not only they cause bad breath, but they are key risk factors for mouth cancer.

Could My Boyfriend Have Given Me Chlamydia?

I was recently diagnosed with Chlamydia. I haven't sleep with anybody but my boyfriend for the past nine years. Does this mean he's having sex with someone else?

First of all, you need to ask yourself whether there's any way you could have contracted the infection before you met your boyfriend.

Chlamydia can sometimes go undetected for years, as it can be virtually asymptomatic. Your partner, too, could have carried the bacteria for several years.

It is estimated that 10% of sexually active young people under 25 carry Chlamydia and most women who have the bacteria are totally unaware of it. Chlamydia is known as a "silent" disease because about three quarters of infected women and about half of infected men have no symptoms.

Chlamydia can be transmitted during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Chlamydia can also be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth. It is also possible, but not very likely, to get Chlamydia of the throat from oral sex.

Discuss the matter honestly with your partner and make sure he gets tested and treated, too.

Is My Husband Faking His Orgasms?

When making love to my partner he goes through the usual behaviour of a climax, but there's no semen. This has been happening for a few months.

Your husband is probably very worried, he may think he's ill or that his sex life is about to end. You need to tackle him about it because it's likely he has a condition called "retrograde ejaculation". Sufferers still have the sensation of orgasm but the semen is ejaculated backwards down the urethra into the bladder. It often occurs after treatment for prostate illness, but can also be linked to diabetes, multiple sclerosis or spinal injuries. If your husband pees after sex he may have notice his urine is cloudy, indicating the semen is being passed from his bladder.

Ask him if he's noticed these symptoms. If so, he needs to see his doctor.
